Kept busy last week catching up with several hotel reps and finishing off on Friday with “Secbreak” at Crown’s Palladium then co-hosting a famil with the Sebel & Citigate Albert Park, Melbourne with some of our clients...
On Wednesday last week we enjoyed catching up with the new cluster sales office for Pan Pacific Hotels Group who now have a presence not only in Melbourne, but across Australia - recently launching the Parkroyal Darling Harbour, Parkroyal Parramatta, Parkroyal Melbourne Airport and the Pan Pacific Perth.
Corrie & Lisa popped in with some lunch nibblies to share as we discussed with the team how we can also help introduce their product out there to the masses... We are hoping to run a client famil to the Melbourne Airport venue soon, so please keep an eye on our newsletters!
Other Rep appointments included meeting our new national Mantra Group rep, plus contacts from InterContinental Hotel Group, Radisson Resort Cold Coast, Novotel Darling Harbour, Mercure Balgownie Estate, Crowne Plaza Melbourne, Hyatt Regency Coolum and the Comfort Inn & Suites Robertson Gardens in Brisbane, all visiting with us. And covering a wide range of very different venues!
Whilst Corrie attended the very popular ‘Secbreak’ and saw many friendly faces, didn’t manage to get right around the room! It is an ever growing event and one of the more popular events for PA’s and EA’s to attend. Fabulous to see so many people looking fantastic even at 6.30am!
Saturday night saw Ultimate Conferences + Events host a famil night in conjunction with the Sebel & Citigate Albert Park with 8 of our clients and their partners attending the night. Kicking off at 3.30pm with a quick drink in the bar area, we then headed on a comprehensive site of the venue taking in most of the conference space. Guests saw just how versatile this venue can be with the range of accommodation (4 star Citigate through to 4.5 star Sebel), wide range of conference rooms (from boardrooms through to the massive 'Grand Ballroom') and experiencing great service from friendly staff, delicious food and very comfy beds! Our site inspection took on a slightly different slant when surprised with a cupcake decorating competition to break the ice... The range of goodies on offer to decorate the cakes ensured we were kept busy and focused for about 20 minutes! Four prizes were then awarded for the best ‘themed’ cupcakes (with special mention for the effort put into Rene's Giraffe!). Dinner that night was held in ‘Element’ – an ideal function space located on the ground floor next to Window’s Restaurant. The canapés and menu suited everyone’s taste buds, and we were treated to some extra entertainment throughout including a brief trivia competition hosted by ‘Wacky Productions’– bringing us all out of our comfort zones! Breakfast the next morning was a full buffet affair with something to suit everyone. Having experienced many a hotel breakfast, Corrie reported back that this was possibly one of the best buffet breakfasts she has had! All in all, a highly successful, enjoyable night and we look forward to supporting the Sebel & Citigate Albert Park with any future enquiries you may have. Contact Corrie or Lisa now!
In the meantime, Corrie & Lisa are busy assisting people with conferences in Perth, Darwin, Melbourne, Sydney, Regional Vic and quoting many other destinations – within Australia as well as overseas. It’s a busy time of year with many companies finalising budgets, and with more client famils planned soon around Regional Victoria with Accor, with RACV Country Club in Healesville, and to Crowne Plaza Terrigal on the NSW coast, as well as Corrie jetting off (again) to New Zealand for 'Meetings' later on in June, there’s sure to be busy times ahead!
